One chord a day, drawn by the whole Warrior Network from a single shared seed: a hash of the calendar date over a curated pool, so every sister site is looking at exactly the chord you are. What changes from site to site is the answer — and this is the one site where the answer comes back twice.
Two instruments answer to the name cuatro, and they are not variants of each other. One has ten steel strings in five doubled courses and is played as a lead voice with a pick; the other has four single nylon strings, one of them folded down inside the range, and is played as a rhythm instrument with the whole hand. Handed the same chord, they do genuinely different things with it.
So this page reads today's pick twice, out of two separate charted libraries: once as a position on the ten-string, with the top-sounding string called out and the span of the grip measured; once as a block on the four-string, with the same span measured for comparison. The two numbers sit side by side, and the difference between them is the whole argument this site makes.
Both readings are computed in your browser, from your own calendar date, and never on the server. Rendered pages here are cached at the edge for hours at a time, so a date baked into the HTML would cheerfully hand you yesterday's chord a minute after midnight. Once the page knows what day it is where you are, both readings appear below.
While you wait — or if scripting is off — the comparison page has the two instruments measured against each other, the golpe pages have the strum bars slot by slot, and the chord reference has the whole library.
